Good news first:

Right now, we’ve collected more donations in September than we did at this point in August, which is amazing since we fell short of hitting our end-of-month fundraising goal on Monday.

Now, here’s the bad news:

Our average donation has dropped by about 30%, and we’re still stretching to meet tonight’s extended fundraising goal.

Cal is refusing to take any money from corporate PACs, and we’re standing against an army of Washington megadonors who are pouring outrageous amounts of money into North Carolina on negative TV and digital ads designed to drown out our campaign.

In fact, one of Mitch McConnell’s shady groups just booked another $10.8 million in negative attacks this week.

With our lower average donation, we need a whole lot of folks to step up today to ensure we have the resources to fight back against these attacks. Will you make a contribution of any amount to Cal’s campaign while there’s still time?
