Friend, Tyler’s message absolutely broke my heart, and I’d like you to read
it if you have a moment:

My name is Tyler Tew. I was a commercial airline pilot for 14 years. I flew
for SkyWest as a Captain and then Allegiant. I graduated from Utah State with
an aviation degree and built my entire life around flying. I went to Washington
on January 6 after being invited by friends.

After President Trump’s speech, I went to the Capitol. What I saw with my own
eyes did not match what the news reported.

On March 26, 2021, the TSA revoked my commercial pilot’s license for
“suspicion of terrorism” and being a threat to the national airspace — before I
was ever charged with a crime and before any FBI interview. I spent $40,000 in
legal fees.

In June 2021, Allegiant fired me. Without my W-2 income, I could no longer
sustain the construction company my wife and I owned. It is now in bankruptcy.
We have four children. I now work 6–7 days a week in construction just to
survive.

I’m hoping Stand in the Gap can help us raise $25,000 to stabilize our family
and our company during this bankruptcy and help us recover from the financial
destruction caused by the sudden end of my aviation career. We have nowhere
else to turn.
