Dear john,
At Fort Bliss and across the country, servicemembers often wait years for the buildings and facilities they need. Outdated government rules slow down construction and make projects more costly.
That’s why I introduced the bipartisan Streamlining Military Infrastructure Act. My bill would help military leaders complete construction projects faster by working with local governments and cutting unnecessary red tape. That means faster projects, lower costs, and a better quality of life for our servicemembers and their families.
I am proud that this legislation passed the House as part of this year’s defense bill. I will keep fighting to make Fort Bliss stronger and ensure our servicemembers have not only what they need but what their service deserves.
