Hi John!
What do (1) a progressive champion who helped dismantle a faux-Democratic caucus in New York, (2) a tenacious advocate for working families hoping to bring new representation to the Bronx political establishment, and (3) a passionate judge from Yonkers who embodies true progressive values have in common?
They're all special guests at Run for Something's house party next Wednesday!
And you're invited too, John. Join us on September 9th at 8 p.m. ET to discuss the importance of local politics and how we can build sustainable progressive power -- no matter the odds. Tickets start at $25.
Let us ditch the riddle and be a little more clear about who our special guests are:
New York State Senator Alessandra Biaggi, the woman who defeated the leader of the Independent Democratic Caucus and helped usher in an era of progressive politics in New York State will be joining us.
Amanda Septimo, a candidate running for New York State's 84th Assembly District, who is running to dismantle a political culture described as a "boys' club" full of entrenched politicians, will be joining.
And
Judge Karen Best, who's running to serve as Yonkers City Court Judge (despite local politicians trying to box her out) and prove once again that people power trumps all, will be joining us too.
We'll be discussing how they're battling the status quo and building sustainable power for their communities. Want to learn more? You can! Just buy your ticket to secure your spot at the virtual house party and join the discussion.
Hope we catch you online!
Thanks,
