JOhn, Donald Trump’s Department of Defense is trying to hide the human cost of his illegal war in Iran by removing American servicemembers from casualty counts.

I wrote a letter to Secretary Pete Hegseth demanding answers:

First, the DOD left four soldiers out of their casualty count, initially listing it at 14 before updating their count to 18. The following day, they changed the number back to 14 and said the other four servicemembers were casualties of a new war.

Put another way: this administration is claiming that the President’s brief ceasefire split the Iran war — and its casualty numbers — into two separate wars.

The Trump administration knows this war is a mistake, and lying about the casualties of fallen soldiers is just another example of how far it will go to avoid accountability.

We need real transparency from the Pentagon. The American people deserve the truth about every life lost and soldier wounded in this illegal war.
