Omar for Aurora

John,

We need your help -- today. We are just a few days from our next fundraising deadline and 63 days until election day.

I am facing one of the most corporatist politicians ever to hold office in Colorado, former Congressman Mike Coffman. His donors are breaking campaign fundraising records and his corporate cronies know that they can help buy him the Aurora Mayorship, as the next step to another political office. We are all tired of the politics being played today. It is not only dividing communities, but it is also hurting people. Mike Coffman’s type of politics is why we are where we are today.

I am running for Aurora Mayor because I love Aurora, not for my next political office. I am running to help guide Aurora with a new progressive and citizen-focused agenda. I have served the community by sitting on several city commissions, as the former president Aurora’s Chapter of the NAACP, and a college professor and mentor to many Colorado young people.

Aurorans already told Mike Coffman no last election. They will do it again, with your help. I hope you will stand with our campaign and give to our people-powered campaign today. Our goal is to get 150 more donations by this Friday, our next deadline. Can you help us get there? Please give $500, $100, $25 -- whatever you can today!

Our message is resonating and we are gaining momentum across the city, your support will ensure we can reach every voter with our progressive and positive message.

Sincerely,

Omar Montgomery

Your Candidate for Aurora Mayor
