When COVID-19 struck, NVAHA pivoted from focusing on housing policy to advocating for critical resources for vulnerable residents who lost their jobs, and the sustainability of community-based organizations who serve them.
The Northern Virginia Eviction Prevention & Housing Stability Toolkit was created in June with a regional coalition of public and private sector participants, to shed light on what is being done to stabilize housing conditions for those who are unable to pay rent, and show where gaps in eviction prevention remain.
We are proud of this latest achievement which caps over 15 years of collaboration with local, regional and statewide organizations on housing affordability and advocacy for multi-racial, equitable, inclusive communities. Our partnerships with all of you have been critical to moving our region toward that goal.
