Giles. I’m honored to join Katie as her running mate to be Arizona’s very
first Lieutenant Governor. Now that our historic ticket is official, let
me tell you a little bit about myself.

I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I attended Mesa public schools. My
wife, Dawn, and I met at Brigham Young University and have been married
for 43 years, raised five kids in Mesa, and now have ten wonderful
grandchildren. Arizona is our home.

I served as the mayor of Mesa for ten years and was a lifelong Republican
before becoming an Independent. Because when it comes to doing what’s best
for Arizona, partisanship shouldn’t matter.

One of the things you learn pretty quickly as a mayor is that there really
isn’t a Republican way or a Democratic way to fill a pothole. People just
want the pothole fixed. They want good schools for their kids. Safe
neighborhoods. Good jobs. And they want to know the people they elected
are actually working for them.

During my time as mayor, I got to know Katie Hobbs. She’s worked across
the aisle to cut taxes and lower costs, strengthen public safety and
border security, invest in our public schools, and protect Arizona’s
water. She’s been willing to work with anyone—and stand up to anyone—to do
what’s right for Arizona.

So when Katie asked me to join this ticket, I didn’t hesitate. Together,
we are committed to putting Arizonans ahead of partisan politics and
delivering real results.

Katie’s told me quite a bit about this amazing grassroots team, and I’m so

This election is about two very different visions for Arizona. There’s the
Washington way of doing politics where a partisan victory is worth
celebrating even when Arizonans pay the price and getting 100% of your way
is more important than getting something done. That is how Andy Biggs
would govern.

Katie and I believe there’s a better way: the Arizona way. Where the
people we serve should always come before partisan politics, where hard
work is rewarded, opportunity is within reach, and we leave our kids a
state even better than the one we inherited.

That’s the Arizona I grew up in. That’s the Arizona I worked to build as
mayor. And that’s the Arizona Katie Hobbs and I will always fight for.

Our race is the biggest toss-up re-election in the country, and Arizona is
the ultimate battleground state. In 2022, Katie won by just 17,117 votes –
less than 1% – and we know it’s going to be just as close this year.

It’s going to take every one of us doing our part to win this race. Every
donation, every door knocked, every conversation with a friend or a
