John, Bob Harvie here.
I'm the Democrat running to beat Brian Fitzpatrick in PA-01. Today, I'm announcing my policy plan, or as I'm calling it: The New Fair Deal for Working Families.
I spent 26 years as a public school Social Studies teacher at Bucks County Technical High School teaching the next generation about the promise of the American Dream.
If you work hard and play by the rules, you and your family should be rewarded with stability. You should be able to set your kids on a path to their own prosperity, and retire with dignity. But somewhere along the way, that dream has become further and further out of reach.
Our members of Congress have become experts at creating problems and then pretending to fix them. It's time for something to change.
My plan includes:
* A tax cut for the middle class
* Banning corporate PAC contributions to political campaigns
* Banning congressional stock trading
* Congressional age limits
* Reining in data center overdevelopment
* Cracking down on grocery price gouging
Working families are not asking for special treatment. They are asking for a fair shot. A better future is possible, and by flipping PA-01 and the House, we can make this plan a reality.
