Folks, we knew this was coming.

It started before the general election even kicked off, when corporate-owned scumbag Ted Cruz started attacking me on Twitter. Republicans are terrified of this campaign, and they’ve got the ad budget to prove it:

They’re right to be scared of us. You and me, and millions more people across Maine and the entire country, are ready to retire Susan Collins.

Her voting record is disastrous. She’s betrayed working Mainers for three decades running. She’s rightfully the most vulnerable Republican senator in the country, and we’re in a position to unseat her once and for all.

I’m not saying it’s going to be easy. This new “ad deluge” is proof of that – what the headline doesn’t say is that they’re putting more $42 million behind their ads!

To me, that’s just 42 million reasons for us to work even harder to flip this seat and send someone to Washington who will fight for working people to have the government we deserve. But I do have an uphill battle with this campaign.
