Friend,

There is a saying in the Marine Corps that shaped my whole life. Officers eat last. You take care of your people before you take care of yourself. Always.

I carried that home from the Corps, and I have never let go of it. When you get right down to it, it is the reason I am running for Congress.

Because here is something I believe without reservation. When this country asks men and women to put on the uniform and risk everything, we make them a promise. That we will take care of them when they come home. Their health. Their families. A fair shot at the life they defended.

Too often, we break that promise.

I have watched fellow veterans fight through backlogs and red tape for care they were guaranteed. I have seen good people come home and struggle to find their footing while the country they served moves on without them. That is not how you treat the people who carried the weight for the rest of us.

I am not running to be one more politician who salutes veterans at a parade and forgets them by Monday. I am running to be the one who remembers that officers eat last, that you take care of your people, and that a promise made to those who served is a promise you keep.

If you believe we owe our veterans more than words, chip in $25 today to help take that fight to Congress. [ [link removed] ]
