Officer fatally shoots suspect armed with a knife. Cops: We don’t have Tasers.

KERRVILLE, Tx. – An officer has been put on administrative leave after fatally shooting a knife-wielding suspect who threatened him on Sunday afternoon in Texas, ABC 12 News reported.

When questioned about the possibility of having disarmed the man using non-lethal force, the department spokesperson said that their officers are not equipped with Tasers and using pepper spray would have been ineffective.  Read More.

Police searching for suspects after 9/11 memorial vandalized in NY

Police in Geneva, New York are investigating after a 9/11 memorial dedicated to emergency responders was found vandalized last week.

Assistant city manager Adam Blowers said police received a complaint that spray-painted “scribbles” were left on the memorial, though there didn’t seem to be anything specific written. Read More.
