Friend, in almost 250 years, there’s never been a Native woman serving in the US Senate. It’s time to change that.

I’m Peggy Flanagan, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Minnesota.

I am Ojibwe and a proud member of the White Earth Nation. My family is the Wolf Clan. The mission of my clan is to never leave anyone behind — and that’s been my guiding principle.

I am the descendant of people who were forced off their land onto the White Earth reservation. I am the relative of residential boarding school survivors. I am the daughter of a man who always spoke truth to power for the good of the Anishinaabe people.

I’m thinking of my daughter — who just got her first jingle dress — and whether or not she will see Indigenous women in all parts of our government.

Right now, there are no Native voices in the US Senate. If I win this race, we can change that.

It's high time that all our communities have a seat at the table. If you agree, will you pitch in $10 or whatever you can to power my campaign and Juliana Stratton’s and help me make history?

Too often, Native voices are ignored or erased in the halls of power.

That’s how we get awful so-called leaders like Donald Trump and J.D. Vance, who called Indigenous Peoples' Day a “fake holiday” and said that Native land was “enemy territory.”

My Ojibwe name means 'Speaks in a Loud and Clear Voice woman.' So I’m using that voice to call out MAGA extremism — loudly and clearly.

But I can’t do it alone. I need your help to build a campaign strong enough to cut through the noise. That’s why I’m personally asking, will you pitch in a split gift to my campaign and Juliana's to help us make history?

Chi miigwech (that’s Ojibwe big thank you) for being part of this hopeful movement.

Peggy
