Friend — I am honored to share that I am officially the Democratic nominee for Congress in Minnesota's great Fifth District.
I can’t thank our community enough for trusting me to continue this important work, especially at a time when Minnesota needs a fighter in their corner more than ever.
And I can’t thank you enough for sticking by my side throughout this race and everything Minnesota has gone through over the last year. The support of everyone on this team and in this incredible, nationwide movement helped us stay organized and make this victory possible.
Last night Minnesota sent a clear message: We are sick and tired of the status quo, sick and tired of MAGA fascism, sick and tired of billionaire oligarchy, and we’re ready to fight back.
Despite the establishment’s constant pushback, our ideas — Medicare-for-All, universal childcare, abolishing ICE, ending endless wars, cutting off aid for Israel’s genocide — are becoming more popular by the day.
That's because the American people are struggling as the cost of living skyrockets, and wondering why only the rich get richer. They are seeing billions be spent on war and genocide abroad and wondering why that money isn’t spent here at home. They are seeing ICE violence and brutality and wondering why we can’t have a chaos-free and humane immigration system.
Our movement has a simple, common-sense vision of the future that is winning in every corner of this nation. A future where everyone has what they need, every one of our neighbors is taken care of, and everyone gets the dignity, respect, and affordable life they deserve.
So, we may have won this race for the nomination, but the fight is far from over.
I’m going to spend the next three months working tirelessly to rally progressive voters in Minnesota as well as states and districts across the country to make sure we take back the majority in Congress and provide a real check on Trump’s power. We have an exciting and historic slate of candidates to elect, and with your help we will usher in the most progressive Congress this country has ever seen.
So, thank you again, to everyone who believes in me and this movement. Let’s take a moment to celebrate, reflect, and gather our strength. Then let’s hit the ground running for our democracy, our neighbors, and our future.
