This has been a remarkable year that we likely won’t soon forget. But for all of the changes and challenges we’ve experienced in 2020, I’m sure you, like me, have found things to celebrate. For me, it’s the 25th anniversary of Animal Outlook.
Our hearts are filled with pride and gratitude for all we’ve accomplished in these past 25 years, thanks to you. More than that, we’re excited about what we will accomplish in the next 25. And most of all, we are truly grateful for your continued support in our shared mission. Without you, none of our life-saving work for animals would be possible.
Thanks to five incredibly generous supporters donating a total of $125,000 for our 25th Anniversary Matching Fund, all donations will be matched dollar for dollar, helping us raise a total of $250,000 to keep up our momentum as we enter our next 25 years.
In 1995 we started out as an all-volunteer organization called Compassion Over Killing. We were small and mighty, and knew we wanted to change the world for animals. Now, a quarter of a century later, we still possess that youthful ambition and passion -- and we’re more effective than ever.
Over the past 25 years, we’ve exposed the suffering of billions of farmed animals through more than 30 undercover investigations at dairy, meat and egg production facilities. We’ve taken animal agribusiness to court - and won. We’ve shut down slaughterhouses and shuttered factory farms.

Our investigations and campaigns have made international headlines including CNN, ABC, The New York Times, The Washington Post and the UK’s Daily Mail. We’ve successfully persuaded food giants like Starbucks, Subway and Dunkin’ to add vegan options to their menus. and we’ve convinced companies like Morningstar Farms, Lightlife Foods, Quorn and BOCA Foods to completely eliminate or greatly reduce their use of animal ingredients while also expanding their vegan product lines.
Standing united, we’ve empowered millions to explore the many benefits and flavors of vegan eating, through our popular VegWeek campaign, free DC VegFest, Beyond the Lies video tour, and many other innovative and inspiring outreach efforts.
