National MPs have spent days fighting over their jobs and Christopher Luxon is still Prime Minister. It took an emergency caucus meeting, days of speculation, and MPs working behind the scenes to get rid of the Prime Minister.
The National Party is deeply divided. And the instability this week has shown exactly why nothing is getting better for hard working Kiwis.
While National MPs have been fighting to save their skins, your grocery bill hasn't come down.
Your power bill hasn't come down. Too many Kiwis are out of work. Too many people are struggling to see a doctor. And too many are leaving New Zealand because they can't see a future here.
A Government that was serious about making life better for Kiwis wouldn't need to drag its MPs back to Wellington for an emergency meeting in recess week. Clearly they can’t even sort themselves out, so they've got no business running the country.
For years, National has promised things would get better, while life has got harder for too many New Zealanders.
Instead of fixing things, they're fighting amongst themselves. And the instability will continue. The divisions haven't gone away.
