Over a year ago, Donald Trump and House Republicans passed their "Big Ugly Bill" — marking the largest transfer of wealth FROM the working class TO the richest in history.

House Republicans can call it whatever they want, but the American people know the truth. It has been a disaster from the very beginning.

Look at what they did to working families:

• Health Care: They allowed critical ACA tax credits to expire, doubling, tripling, and quadrupling the cost of health care coverage for millions.

• Medicaid: They slashed $1 trillion out of Medicaid, forcing hospitals to lay off staff and close clinics.

• Nutrition: They cut SNAP benefits, taking food directly out of the hands of hungry children and families during summer breaks.

In effect, for every single dollar they cut from programs for low-income Americans, the wealthiest 1% got about a dollar back in tax breaks.

It is unacceptable. It is immoral.

Republicans stood up to rip away benefits and support from working families just to give billionaires a massive tax break. Now, they are dragging down our country in their desperate quest to hold onto their House majority.

We know the American people will continue to reject them and their terrible policies — but only if we have the resources to hold them accountable, share the truth, and elect leaders who will fight for working families.
