*Join us for the August 2026 Environmental Quality Board meeting. At this meeting, the board will hear the Office of Enterprise Sustainability annual update. The board will also hear the FY27 EQB workplan and vote on approval.

*Project description: *The Twin Cities' Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES) proposes to decommission an aging wastewater lift station and construct a new, larger lift station in the northwest metro area to meet growing capacity needs. Project improvements will include construction of a new lift station along the Mississippi River in Fridley, decommissioning of the existing lift station across the Mississippi River in Brooklyn Park, and rehabilitation of pipes crossing the Mississippi River (Project).

Pleasant Valley Farms EAW [ [link removed] ]

*Project description: *The proposed project, Pleasant Valley Farms, is a new residential development in the City of Hastings, Minnesota. Pleasant Valley Farms will be built on approximately 158.0 acres and will be developed with up to 407 residential homes consisting of 341 single-family detached units and 66 townhomes. The development will also include a homeowners' association area, curvilinear roads, stormwater management areas, and open spaces. The City of Hastings and Nininger Township adopted a Joint Resolution for Orderly Annexation of property primarily owned by Conzemius Family Limited Partnership. Upon approval and sale of the property for development, the land will be transferred from Township to City jurisdiction.

*Project description: *The City of Brooklyn Center proposes to complete a maintenance project to restore the hydraulic capacity of and remove accumulated sediment within Upper Twin Lake. The project will involve sediment removal, installation of new rip rap at inlets, and storm pipe repair. The project will improve the lake's functionality and quality of water leaving the lake.

*Project description: *This AUAR study area encompasses an area totaling approximately 278 acres on 26 parcels in the City of Hermantown, St. Louis County, Minnesota. The study area is bounded to the north by Morris Thomas Road, to the east by Midway Road, and to the west by Solway Road. The southern boundary of the study area extends parallel to Saint Louis River Road, approximately 0.25 miles to the north. One development scenario is proposed to be evaluated in the AUAR. The development scenario includes multiple buildings totaling 1.8 million square feet of proposed light industrial development.

Minnesota Duty Officer reports pertaining to fish kills are summarized in the following table, in accordance with 103G.216, REPORTING FISH KILLS IN PUBLIC WATERS, Subd. 2 Reporting Requirement. These reports were received via the Minnesota Duty Officer prior to the submission deadline for this edition of the EQB Monitor. They represent the raw data/information provided by callers.
