Indivisibles,

With exactly two months to go until the General Election (!!!), we’ve been
talking to groups, vetting candidates, and counting votes to guarantee
we’ll have a big impact in the next 60 days. That’s why we’re excited to
announce Indivisible’s sixth round of national endorsements for the 2020
election cycle! These national endorsements elevate the candidates
preferred by the grassroots, showcasing a new class of leaders who reflect
the values of the Indivisible movement.

And while we’re edging closer to Nov. 3, we’ve decided to go BIG this
cycle with 20 -- yes 20 -- endorsed candidates.

We’re so grateful to the local groups who nominated these candidates --
this process wouldn’t have been possible without their help every step of
the way. So without further ado, here’s our sixth slate of nationally
endorsed candidates:

We’re proud to announce our endorsement of Rep. Gil Cisneros (CA-39), Jim
Kennedy (FL-08), Tom Palzewicz (WI-05), Qasim Rashid (VA-01), Mike Siegel
(TX-10), Kathy Ellis (MO-08), Meg Gorman (TN-03), Kiran Sreepada (TN-07),
Dan Ahlers (SD-Sen), Kim Mangone (CA-23), Wendy Davis (TX-21), Celeste
Williams (AR-03), Rep. Mark Pocan (WI-02), Jon Hoadley (MI-06), Rep.
Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), Beth Doglio (WA-10), Candace Valenzuela (TX-24),
Brynne Kennedy (CA-04), Mondaire Jones (NY-17), and Delina DiSanto
(AZ-04):

* [ [link removed] ]Rep. Gilbert Cisneros is running for reelection to ensure children
are provided with the same ladder of opportunity that he was provided.
Rep. Cisneros is a veteran and education advocate who has fought in
Congress to stand up to the insurance and pharmaceutical industries;
he's worked to lower healthcare costs, protect education funding, and
create good-paying local jobs.

* The 8th district will have a true progressive champion in [ [link removed] ]Jim
Kennedy because his platform shows that he's not going to shy away
from the issues that matter. He's in this race to fight for universal
healthcare, for a bold solution to our climate crisis, and for
education reform that prioritizes the needs of all students and
teachers.

* [ [link removed] ]Tom Palzewicz’s platform is centered on equality. He knows that our
country isn't equitable and he'll fight to remedy that injustice by
listening to the people and staying connected to his community to
understand what needs to be improved.

* As a proud immigrant and a human rights lawyer, [ [link removed] ]Qasim Rashid has
dedicated his life to support and serve vulnerable communities in
Virginia's 1st district. From his support for progressive policies
like the Green New Deal and Medicare for All, to his fight for
elections free of the influence of corporate PAC money, Qasim knows
the remedies our country needs and he's committed to continuing his
fight within the halls of Congress.

* [ [link removed] ]Mike Siegel has worked as a public school teacher and as a civil
rights lawyer, and now he wants to bring that same commitment he had
dedicated to his past work to Congress. Mike supports universal
healthcare, a Green New Deal, housing for all, and a pathway to
citizenship for undocumented immigrants. His platform centers on what
matters: people.

* [ [link removed] ]Kathy Ellis is running to ensure that rural America isn't ignored
and that people everywhere get better wages, stronger infrastructure,
and access to reliable Internet. Kathy is the progressive candidate
Missouri needs because she's committed to fighting for fundamental
issues, like access to healthcare, reproductive rights, the Green New
Deal, and a strong education system.

* [ [link removed] ]Meg Gorman knows that current legislators aren't serving the people
in our communities, and that’s why she wants to go to Congress to
fight for her community and to pass legislation that will help them
out. Whether it’s immigration, reproductive rights, school funding,
criminal justice reform, or the Green New Deal, Meg will fight for
solutions that put people over profits.

* Using his experience in government and business, [ [link removed] ]Kiran Sreepada
wants to change the way we govern and prioritize the most vulnerable.
This means fighting for more affordable healthcare that covers
everyone, making sure that our rural areas have the same access to
education and technology, and working to make sure that equality and
justice are no longer the privileges of a few, but a guaranteed right
for everyone.

* As a former South Dakota State Legislator, [ [link removed] ]Dan Ahlers worked with
community leaders to improve the lives of his constituents, and now he
wants to take that same dedication to the Senate. His platform
includes growing his state's economy, creating jobs, supporting
agriculture, and improving access to affordable healthcare and quality
education.

* [ [link removed] ]Kim Mangone will be a representative who stands up for
reproductive freedom, bases decisions on science, and supports
universal healthcare. She'll fight to defend Social Security,
prioritize equality, and tackle criminal justice reform.

* [ [link removed] ]Wendy Davis is a tireless and tenacious advocate, and she’s
running on a policy platform that addresses many issues facing
ordinary Texans. Whether fighting for access to healthcare, fair
lending practices, wage increases, clean air standards, voting rights,
fair redistricting, or economic equality -- she’ll bring that fight to
Congress.

* As a nurse for the last 20 years, [ [link removed] ]Celeste Williams has seen
firsthand the struggles that too many families face. She believes
getting sick shouldn’t mean going broke, that hard work should equal
fair wages, and that everyone should feel welcomed and empowered.
That's why she supports expanding Medicare, tackling our climate
crisis with sustainable solutions, fighting for fair taxation, and
demanding social and racial equity.

* [ [link removed] ]Rep. Mark Pocan listens and works for the people of the 2nd
district -- not CEOs. Rep. Pocan is committed to fighting for Medicare
for All, stronger unions, higher wages, and expanded labor rights. He
supports the Green New Deal, putting an end to the high cost of higher
education and student debt, and creating a pathway to citizenship for
all immigrants.

* For the past five years, [ [link removed] ]Jon Hoadley has served as one of the few
openly gay members of the Michigan legislature, and if elected, would
become Michigan’s first openly gay Congressman. He’s prioritized being
accessible to the people he represents, and he’s a proud supporter of
Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and ending the influence of
corporations and dark money in our elections.

* Even though she’s been in office for less than four years, [ [link removed] ]Rep.
Pramila Jayapal has already accomplished more than most members of
Congress do in their entire tenure. She's introduced and co-sponsored
some of the most progressive legislation in recent years. Rep. Jayapal
has fought for Medicare for All, for environmental justice, to end
war, to make public college free, and to significantly reduce student
debt, among others.

* [ [link removed] ]Beth Doglio has been a progressive leader in the Washington State
Legislature, and now she’s bringing her passion to Congress. She's
fully behind the Green New Deal and Medicare for All. She's pledged to
fight to raise the minimum wage, to close the pay gap, to end
workplace sexual harassment, and to restore workers’ right to fight
for higher wages and better workplaces.

* [ [link removed] ]Candace Valenzuela has overcome incredible odds growing up and has
been fighting her whole life to ensure that others don’t have to go
through the hardships that she did. She’s fighting for everyone to
have access to affordable and secure housing, for investment in green
jobs and infrastructure to confront the climate crisis, and for
universal free pre-K to help struggling families and give all kids a
chance to get ahead.

* [ [link removed] ]Brynne Kennedy has seen how COVID-19 has tested our nation and
strained our economy, and she plans to create solutions that we need
now -- supporting frontline workers and small businesses, protecting
vital public services, expanding high-speed internet, fixing roads and
bridges, protecting communities from wildfires, and taking on special
interest corruption.

* [ [link removed] ]Mondaire Jones is running to pass the Green New Deal and Medicare
for All, forgive student debt and make college tuition-free, and
ensure that everyone can provide for themselves and their families. He
knows that we need more representatives who are committed to social,
racial, and economic justice, and who will fight for a democracy that
works for everyone.

* [ [link removed] ]Delina DiSanto is committed to listening to her constituents and
making sure people have health and economic security. In Congress,
Delina will ensure that everything she does is rooted in the needs of
the people. She'll work and fight for her district and for all
struggling communities across the country.

These 20 candidates are amazing and we’re going to do everything we can to
make sure they get elected in November. In the meantime, there are still
races out there where your groups’ endorsements, and a subsequent national
endorsement, can really make an impact. Just like we saw in the last few
weeks, many of these local races were plunged into the national spotlight
-- and just think what an endorsement could do! If you’re ready to get to
work for progressive candidates like those on this list, [ [link removed] ]sign up to
join our Windivisible peer to peer program.

If your group has endorsed a candidate locally and would like to nominate
that candidate for a national endorsement, we’ll have ONE more wave of
endorsements announced in October. If you’d like to submit for the next
round, [ [link removed] ]groups have until 11:59 pm PT on Thursday, September 10, to
submit candidates for the seventh and final round of voting.

We’re so excited to receive so many amazing
candidates from so many groups around the country. While this has been a
lot of work for both groups and our staff over the last year, there are
still two more months of investing in these critical races ahead. To keep
up with such a huge and necessary program, we've budgeted over a million
dollars to support it. [ [link removed] ]If you can, please consider donating to support
our Endorsements program and all of Indivisible Action’s
work!

We’re ready to watch your groups throw all your political power behind
these endorsed candidates, and bring real progressive change to your
neighborhoods, districts, and states in November.

In solidarity,
Indivisible Team
