Lisa Anderson | Director of Young Adults

It’s the first week of September, and while summer is still with us for three more weeks, people!!, many have already begun their rude fall/pumpkin spice announcements and revelries. I remain undaunted, because I’m celebrating things, too. This week I have birthday parties for two of my dearest friends (one is turning 95...you go, guuurl). I’m also celebrating having survived and actually enjoyed this summer despite COVID’s best attempts to ruin it (and the news cycle and social media joining in with their horrors). What are you celebrating right now? What are you looking forward to? Take it a step further: How are you passing your joy on to others? There’s a lot of messed up messaging out there right now. Let’s turn the tables and give people some Jesus-driven hope in both our words and deeds.
