The Daily Beast: "To hear many of his critics tell it, President Donald Trump is killing the U.S. Postal Service. Few of those critics, however, are naming his most important accomplice: Congress."
It's true: Republicans in Congress have failed to act to save USPS from the destructive changes already made by Postmaster General DeJoy. So far, those changes include eliminating overtime and ordering carriers to leave mail behind if it threatens to delay their route.
That last change is an especially huge problem -- and could stop medicine, census documents, and mail ballots from being delivered on time.
We don't care if DeJoy has sworn not to make any more changes -- we think he's lying, and even if he's not, the damage is already done. We refuse to allow Trump and his allies to keep destroying this vital agency, but with the help of Republicans in Congress, that's exactly what they're doing.
