Hi, I have to get up early a lot nowadays, and there’s not much that beats the first cup of coffee of the day.

But when you’re running in a high-stakes Senate race like this one – where anything can happen at any given moment – the nights are just as important as the mornings.

Right now, Patrick (my campaign manager) is texting me live updates about where things stand with our fundraising, and I’ve got a list of things we have to do first thing tomorrow. In the meantime, though, I told him I’d reach out to my top supporters and see if they could lend a hand.

If you’re able to spare a few bucks before you hit the hay, please chip in here.

Reflection comes easy at night, and I’m thinking back to all the conversations I’ve had on the campaign trail so far.

Ohioans, like folks all across the country, are worried about rising costs. They’re fed up with the corruption and power grabs happening in Washington. They’re frustrated with DC politicians like Jon Husted who have left them in the dust.

Yet through it all, so many folks are showing up at our campaign events, or they’re knocking on doors with their neighbors, or they’re stopping for a quick chat with me, because they believe that we can do better.

With experts at The Cook Political Report, MS NOW, and even Fox News calling this race a “Toss Up,” we have an incredible opportunity to flip this battleground seat – and the Senate – but it won’t be easy.

The GOP is spending $133 million to defeat me, and they’re hitting me with baseless attack ads in a cynical attempt to turn voters against me. I’m working as hard as I can to fight back, but I can’t do it alone.

Will you chip in $5 or whatever you can tonight to help us keep up our momentum in this race, flip Ohio, and take back the Senate for working people?

The dogs are asleep at my feet, but I’ll still be up for a while. You deserve a U.S. senator who’s there for you mornings, noons, and nights – and that’s who I promise to be.
