Share your input on draft plan for services and resources for older adults
(Port Orchard, WA) - The Kitsap County Department of Human Services Aging and Long-Term Care Division invites you to share your ideas and feedback about aging services, needs, and the 2027-2030 Area Plan currently being developed.
The Aging and Long-Term Care Draft Area Plan is available for review and open to public comments on the Aging and Long-Term Care website. Your ideas about services and opportunities for older adults, adults with disabilities living in the community, and family caregivers are welcome.
Background: The four-year plan identifies gaps in services and describes demographic trends, challenges, and opportunities. The plan also addresses how Kitsap County Aging and Long-Term Care, the designated Area Agency on Aging for Kitsap, will administer programs and allocate discretionary funding to support healthy living, aging in place, and informal caregivers. To review the draft plan and for instructions on how to submit comments visit the Kitsap County Aging and Long-Term Care website.
The deadline for public comment is September 10, 2026.
