Dear John, We’re delighted to invite you to be amongst the first to see a fantastic new documentary film, titled Jimmy Carter Rock & Roll President, which celebrates President Carter’s love of music and his friendship with notable musicians. The film chronicles the role of popular music in propelling the relatively unknown candidate from Georgia to the White House, and the significant role music has played in his life and work. It combines interviews with the former President and contributors and performances from the likes of Willie Nelson, Bono, Bob Dylan, Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Jimmy Buffett, Roseanne Cash, Chuck Leavell, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Dizzy Gillespie, and many others. Jimmy Carter said, “When my family and I saw the film we found it entertaining and emotional for all of us. The film exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m thrilled that Rock & Roll President will reach a broad audience. Despite the difficult times we are in, the film highlights my personal belief that we should remain hopeful and that music is a powerful source of hope in trying times.” This joyful and critically acclaimed documentary, once slated to premiere as the opening night film at the cancelled 2020 Tribeca Film Festival, is scheduled to open in select theaters and via online “virtual cinema” on September 9th and will come to popular Video On Demand platforms like Apple iTunes, Amazon Instant and others on October 9th before showing on CNN January 3rd. However, with the assistance of the producers and their distributor Greenwich Entertainment, we’re providing you a paid opportunity to view the film early beginning Friday, September 4th.
