Donald Trump is America’s enemy. To totally and honestly understand what’s happening right now in this country you love, you need to change your way of thinking about Trump. He’s not just some wrongheaded, misguided, bigoted dummy engaged in policy and actions that are bad for America. He’s actually hell-bent on destroying our institutions and hell-bent on purposely making America weaker. And once you understand and accept this reality about Trump, the necessary task of resisting and defeating him becomes easier.
And to see who Trump really is — among the expanding litany of every lawless, corrupt, cruel, dishonest, anti-democratic, and un-American thing he’s done in the past 18 months that has in fact weakened America — just focus on one. Just focus on one purposeful action of Trump to destroy this country: his continued assault on our elections. The man who purposely incited violence in response to the 2020 election, who lied about and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election, and who then committed crimes trying to overthrow the 2020 election, is at it again, assaulting our 2026 midterm elections.
He’s developed and is carrying out an elaborate plan (that I and many others have described in great detail) to fuck with, cheat at, disrupt, cause chaos around, try to cancel, erase the legitimacy of, and, if his side loses, never accept the results of the midterms in November.
Stop. Stop right there. DONALD TRUMP IS AT WAR AGAINST OUR ELECTIONS.
I mean, think about that. Elections are the heartbeat of our representative democracy — without elections, our democracy dies. What do you call someone who is at war against our elections? What do you call someone who is trying to kill our democracy?
OUR ENEMY.
Say it. Say it out loud. Say it quietly to yourself. Say it to your friends and neighbors — DONALD TRUMP IS AMERICA’S ENEMY. You would call ANYONE who is purposely trying to kill our elections, purposely trying to destroy the legitimacy of our elections, our enemy. Any foreign actor doing what Trump is actively doing right now to our elections, we would as a nation call our enemy and treat him/them as such.
We’d be at war against countries doing what Trump is doing to this country right now.
We have to immediately be able to say the president of this country is our enemy. Because it’s true. And oh, btw, the U.S. Senate this past week put his man, Todd Blanche, in charge of the Justice Department, ready and willing to execute Trump’s assault on our elections.
Trump is America’s enemy. I know it’s a difficult thing to grasp — our own president is our enemy. But grasp it we must to defeat him. Grasp it we must to better understand what’s happening. Trump is our enemy. Not his voters. Not his supporters. Not his MAGA adherents. No. They are not America’s enemy. Trump is. Only Trump. They’ve all been fooled, lied to, and preyed upon by Trump. They are responsible for the choices they’ve made, but they are, in the main, good people who love this country, even if misguided and gullible.
No, to call someone America’s enemy is a serious charge. And right now that’s reserved for the guy in the White House. Treat him thus. It will make defeating him that much easier.
To stop drinking, an alcoholic must first acknowledge he’s an alcoholic. He must publicly say those words. To defeat Trumpism, we as a nation must first publicly speak the truth: Trump is our enemy.

Under Trump’s mass-deportation agenda, ICE has become a weapon of fear: masked agents, unmarked cars, courthouse arrests, families torn apart, children left behind, and people pushed through a system designed to confuse, isolate, and disappear them. PAXIS exists to meet the moment.
PAXIS is a multilingual, mobile-ready legal support and crisis-response platform built to give immigrants, migrants, advocates, journalists, and ordinary citizens clear guidance when ICE suddenly appears.
PAXIS is protection. PAXIS is solidarity. PAXIS is a community-built shield against panic, lies, intimidation, and state cruelty
People need to know:
Do I have to open the door?
Do I have the right to remain silent?
Is this a real warrant?
Who can I call?
What do I do right now?
PAXIS answers with calm, lawful, rights-based guidance in the language people understand, on the phones they already have.
We built PAXIS. Now we need to get it into the hands of the people who need it most. A tool like PAXIS means nothing if families, communities and immigrant organizations never hear about it.
Your donation, large or small, helps to: [ [link removed] ]
