This couldn't wait. Last week, the Michigan Democratic Party made a statement about my opponent, Paul Smith, and the "extreme, hateful and violent rhetoric" used during his public life. If you know Paul, it won't surprise you that he responded... and he didn't hold back.

Smith said that I represent 'the parasites that live off the taxpayers. That's the way it goes. It takes hundreds of taxpayers to pay for one government employee.' It's not that simple - those government employees are our firefighters. Our police officers. Our EMTs. I find it particularly disrespectful that Smith would describe first responders in such an outrageous way. I will always be proud to represent and stand up for the people who keep our community safe.

If my opponent doesn't support the men and women protecting our community, how can he represent us in Lansing? You can help keep Paul out of higher office by contributing $50 to my re-election today.

As for the personal attack - that I "never accomplished anything except cash a government paycheck," he must be referring to my time as a public school teacher. I am damn proud that I dedicated my life to teaching. Protecting public education and dismantling the DeVos agenda are top priorities of mine, and I won't stand for someone attacking hardworking teachers who dedicate their lives to educating our kids, especially now with the challenges of teaching through the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the end of the day, Democrat or Republican, Paul Smith does not represent the values of Sterling Heights and Warren. Somehow, he's still the loudest voice in the room.

Can you contribute $25, $50, or $100 to help amplify my message? Every dollar brings us closer to reaching voters we need to win HD-25?

There's only 62 days left until Election Day and absentee ballots drop in two weeks. We're running out of time to stop Paul Smith from winning and continuing to make headlines across the state, this time as THE representative for our home. I'm counting on you to help me cross the finish line with a win in November. It's going to take all of us.

Sincerely,

Nate
