The Republican National Committee’s research team just uncovered another bizarre and concerning twist in James Talarico’s seeming perversion of Christianity…

In an interview on his faith, James Talarico said:

“I know personally that I’ve learned as much about my faith from Salman’s tradition, from the Islamic mystics, from poets like Rumi, as much as I have from Christian authors..."

Salman seems to be a reference to a figure named “Salman the Persian” who was one of Muhammad's closest friends and companions during his lifetime. That seems like a very strange person to take lessons on Christianity from, but of course James Talarico is a REALLY STRANGE guy.

We can’t let him win in Texas.
