Dear John, Two weeks ago, we invited all candidates on the ballot for governor to participate in a conversation about the issues shaping Wisconsin families ahead of the primary. Former Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, State Representative Francesca Hong and State Senator Kelda Roys joined us to discuss their visions for Wisconsin’s future. The event was organized in partnership with the Kaleidoscope WI Coalition. One thing was clear throughout the conversation: making life more affordable is top of mind for families across our state. From the rising costs of groceries and rent, to the need for family-supporting jobs, candidates were asked to grapple with a bigger question: What will it take to make Wisconsin more affordable and how will we pay for it? Here are some of the biggest themes that emerged from the discussion, in case you missed it. |
