Dear John,
Our work to end Alzheimer's disease is a 24/7, ongoing effort. And we depend on the reliable support of our monthly donors to help us to provide care and support for those affected while also accelerating the research that will one day make our vision of a world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia a reality.
Today, we have an exciting and rare opportunity for people who become monthly donors. I'm eager to inform you that a generous supporter who wishes to remain anonymous has established an extraordinary Monthly Donor 12X Matching Gift Challenge. To help advance critical research, they have agreed to give $20,000, if we can raise that same amount by September 25. Your first monthly gift can be matched 12 times when you become a monthly donor and will help provide much-needed care and support and advance research.
Your first monthly gift of: |
YES, YOUR GIFT CAN BE MULTIPLIED x12, up to a total match amount of $20,000, to help further our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Monthly donors are so crucial to our work, we set an ambitious goal of recruiting 2,020 new monthly donors in 2020.
We can't reach our goal without your generous support. I hope you'll join us today by making your first monthly gift, while you can have 12X the impact.
John, monthly donors provide stability and critical, ongoing support for our programs and services, which people facing Alzheimer's rely on every day. Thanks to that dependable support, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we've continued to fund vital research and also:
- Quickly pivoted our programs and services to a virtual platform so affected individuals have uninterrupted access to support.
- Developed a COVID-19 Help Center on alz.org to address the increased impact on our community.
- Held COVID-19-specific Town Hall meetings where we could listen to our community’s COVID-19 concerns and address them.
- Released policy recommendations to advocate for and protect individuals in long-term care settings through more robust testing, reporting, and ensuring access to PPE and other protections.
But as the virus continues to change our daily lives — and disproportionately impact the Alzheimer's community — we can't lose momentum. Will you join as a monthly donor while your first monthly gift can have 12X the impact?
Thank you in advance for becoming a monthly donor today.
Sincerely,
Donna McCullough
Chief Field and Development Officer
P.S. With just a few months left in 2020, please help us meet our goal to recruit 2,020 donors by becoming one of our newest monthly donors now, while your first gift can be matched 12-to-1. Thank you.
