John,
We
are excited to announce that we have reached our decisions regarding
our endorsements for the 2020 General Election after last week’s
endorsement meeting.
Find more details; please visit our website endorsement page.
We
have confidence in these candidates to deliver in office and work for
the East Bay people, applying the progressive values we believe in
through their crucial work. During this election, amid a worldwide
health pandemic, a concurrent economic crisis, and renewed movement for
racial justice and liberation, this pivotal moment’s importance cannot
be understated.
We have a few more
endorsements to make! Check out our upcoming Berkeley City Council
District 2 and Oakland Unified School Board forums!
In solidarity,
Jesus Arzola-Vega, EBYD Communications Director

"When marginalized groups finally gained access to the ballot, it took time for them to organize around opposition to the specific forms of discrimination and mistreatment that continued to plague them - and longer still for political parties and candidates to respond to such activism."
— Stacey Abrams, Former Georgia House Speaker and Political Activist
