Just this week, Trump demanded that his Senate Republican allies pass the SAVE Act – again.

The SAVE Act is an egregious display of voter suppression that is built on a fraudulent foundation.

If this bill were to become law, Americans would require proof of citizenship to vote at their polling place. It's already illegal for noncitizens to vote.

Budzinski: Voter fraud is 'urban myth' -- "The president is trying to retake the authority from the states to administer their own state elections."

Let me be frank: Trump’s idea of protecting our democracy means making up lies about voter fraud and making it more difficult for millions of Americans to vote in our elections.

As a member of Congress, I swore an oath to defend my constituents and the Constitution. Not one single person – not even the president – should be able to freely change the rules and rig the game in their favor.

That’s why we need to tell the Senate to stand tall and block the SAVE Act. Will you sign my petition to reject Trump’s attempt to suppress our voting rights?
