John,

I just released a new episode of my podcast featuring Zach Dembo, and I wanted you to know his story before you listen.

Zach is a federal prosecutor, a Navy JAG veteran, and a former policy advisor in my administration. He's spent his entire career serving this country with honor and without looking for credit.

Then he watched the Department of Justice be turned into a weapon for the powerful instead of a shield for the people. And instead of staying quiet to protect his career, Zach resigned from a job he loved. That's the kind of character we need representing Central Kentucky in Congress.

Now Zach's running to flip Kentucky's 6th Congressional District, and this race is closer than anyone expected. Two polls already show him tied with his opponent — Matt Bevin’s former running mate —and Cook Political Report just moved this race in his direction. This is exactly the kind of seat Democrats need to take back the House, in exactly the kind of district where a candidate like Zach can win, by being honest with people and focused on what actually matters to their lives.

His opponent, Ralph Alvarado, was Matt Bevin's running mate in 2019. We beat that ticket once, and we can do it again. Alvarado has a record of voting to protect nursing homes he personally worked for, some of them rated one star, while working families in this district struggle with rising costs and a Congress that won't lift a finger for them. Zach's already said he'll fight to ban congressional stock trading and end the culture of corruption that's made Washington work for the wealthy and connected instead of everyday people.

Before you listen to the episode, I need you with us. Will you donate to Zach's campaign to help him close this race out? [link removed]

Zach didn't wait for someone else to do the right thing. Now it's our turn to back him.

Thanks y’all,

Andy
