John,

Over the past couple months, we’ve heard a lot of lies and misinformation about Election Day – from our own president.

At his rallies and on Twitter, President Trump has pushed dangerous, false information about the safety of mail-in ballots and his ability to delay the election.

Let me be clear: voting by mail is secure and reliable (we’ve done it for more than two decades here in Washington state), and the president does not have the Constitutional power to move the date of an election.

This is all part of a continued attempt by Trump to attack our voting rights and undermine Americans’ faith in our democracy. It’s voter suppression, plain and simple.

Now, just two months to Election Day, we need to make it clear to President Trump: he cannot and will not delay our election. Add your name to our petition now to build the public pressure.

The 2020 general election is on November 3rd, and no amount of lying or misinformation from Trump will change that.

Whether by mail-in ballots or voting in person at the polls, on November 3rd, the American people will make their voices heard.
