South Asia
Praise God for the emotional reunion of a young man to his family after more than 20 years. After running away at 16, he was trafficked into horrific forced labor at a cattle farm and chained every night. Authorities found him in 2023, but it took years for him to be able to communicate where he's from. Months of searching led to his family thousands of miles away—and they were joyfully reunited last week! Praise God for the diligent authorities who supported this case and pray for God's blessings as this family rebuilds lost time.
Africa & Europe
Praise God for the opportunity for the Kenya team to participate in a high-level national justice meeting led by Kenya’s Chief Justice. Leaders from across the justice sector gathered to strengthen access to justice and improve protection for vulnerable people. We thank God that Country Director Vincent Chahale shared insights on implementing new procedures that support survivors of sexual and gender-based violence and help them receive coordinated care and justice. His participation deepened relationships with key justice leaders and highlighted the importance of working together to build a more effective justice system.
Latin America
Pray for Guatemala as leaders consider a proposed Child Protection Bill designed to better protect children and adolescents who have experienced violence. Ask God to give wisdom and integrity to the technical commission reviewing the legislation and to help lawmakers prioritize the wellbeing of vulnerable children above political interests. Pray also for continued unity among survivors, advocates, and community partners as they work toward timely protection, justice, and care for children across the country.
Asia Pacific
Praise God for the Local Survivors Network of Agents of Change and Success in Cambodia. Survivor leaders gathered for their first quarterly meeting to celebrate progress, discuss challenges and plan for the months ahead. Members encouraged one another by sharing how their businesses have grown and how they are building more stable futures for themselves and their families. Their resilience, leadership and commitment to creating positive change are bringing hope to their communities and inspiring other survivors.
