This week marks the anniversary of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965.
61 years later, we’re still fighting to protect the sacred American right to vote.
We are seeing an assault on voting rights in this country, including the Supreme Court gutting the Voting Rights Act earlier this year. We cannot just throw up our hands and accept it.
There’s an old union saying, “Don’t mourn, organize!”

We have to organize, talk to our neighbors, turn people out to vote, and make sure those who are trying to weaken our democracy do not succeed.
