What to the Foundational Black American is the 250th Celebration of American Independence?

The short answer: A hypocritical reminder that our nation has not lived up to the ideals outlined in our Declaration of Independence – for all people – and from the start, the path to freedom remains at arm’s length for today’s foundational Black Americans who continue to serve as the architects of the American conscience.

NAACP State Conference
August 15, 2026

The NAACP Pennsylvania State Conference will host its 3rd Quarterly Meeting under the theme "Growth & Sustainability".

Founding CEO Kadida Kenner will be in attendance, providing voter registration training for the state conference and for NAACP's statewide branches.

Onsite registration runs from 7:45 AM to 9:00 AM, with events starting at 8:00 AM.

One of our favorite aspects to this work is connecting with young folks about voting rights and how to use their agency to bring about change in their communities.

Kadida Kenner gathered with students at Ursinus College in Montgomery County on August 5th for a Voting Rights Presentation and Advocacy 101 Training.

We love seeing young folks get curious about politics!

We make voter registration as easy as possible for our communities by meeting them where they're at, and answering all their questions along the way.
