Scott Colom
here:
When voters ask me why I’m in this race for Senate, my response is clear:
I’m not asking you to help send me to D.C. to be the Democratic senator.
I’m asking you to help send me to D.C. to be the Mississippi Senator.
What does this mean? Let me lay it out for you.
While too many politicians in DC are focused on protecting their own jobs,
placating special interests, or fighting just for the sake of fighting,
I’m running to focus on Mississippians.
That means focusing on the rising costs that folks are having to deal with
every day. That means saving the rural hospitals that are at risk of
closing thanks to the failed leadership of Cindy Hyde-Smith. That means
making sure that our kids have a future where they can succeed no matter
what.
But I can’t do this alone. Running to be Mississippi’s Senator means that
a lot of those DC special interests aren’t going to be happy with me, and
you bet that they’ll spend anything they need to defeat me. But I have
something stronger: you.
