Hey y'all,

Lots of you have been asking what our strategy to turn Georgia BLUE is. The answer is simple. We are investing in Georgia's youth! Not just young voters but young candidates as well. I want to give an enormous shoutout to my two national committee representatives, Hannah Perkins and Eddie Aviles. These two have been hard at work for countless months securing the tools and capital to pull off a strategic and successful campaign plan.

We are just over 2 months away from election day, and that is NOT a lot of time. There are over 1.3 million voters under 40 years old who have registered to vote in Georgia since Trump was elected. Over 50 Young Democrats will be on the ballot in Georgia this November. Do you know who's on your ballot?

We'll be targeting voters under 40 years old in flippable districts across the state to prove that YOUNG PEOPLE VOTE. Check out how you can help us get the word out below.

** South Carolina YDs Sound the Alarm

This election has gained national attention and we are All In! There is no secret that Lindsey Graham must go and in viewing the polling of this race, we recognize that we need all hands on deck.

The Young Democrats of America have partnered with the Young Democrats of South Carolina to create a Young Democrats of America All In Day for Jaime Harrison. We will be doing phone banking and text banking. Young Democrats from all across the nation will come together.

Join us in helping flip the Senate and working hard to elect Jaime Harrison as the next US Senator from South Carolina. We need to win in every state. Help South Carolina so they can help us!

Join Vietnamese Americans for Biden (VAfB) as they launch their effort to rally and organize the Vietnamese American community and allies to elect the Biden-Harris ticket.

** Speaking of Vote By Mail

Georgia allows all voters to request absentee ballots and vote by mail for any reason. We encourage all our members to request their ballots now for the November election and send them back ASAP. You can check your voter registration, request your absentee ballot, check your ballot's status, see a sample ballot, and more at the Secretary of State's website. Requests may now be submitted entirely online! Voters who submit their requests by the end of this week should receive their ballots by the end of the month.

** YDG Appointed Positions

The Young Democrats of Georgia doesn't have a staff budget... yet. But we need to fill these positions now! If you have experience on a campaign or with an advocacy organization and are interested in leveraging your talents to support Young Democrats, we need you! Please email YDG President Rachel Paule if you are interested in any of the following positions.

* YDG Activism Director

** Become a Poll Worker
------------------------------------------------------------

Poll workers (as opposed to poll “watchers”) are paid positions with your county of residence. We need good people working in polling locations across the State who are committed to providing access to the polls!

The counties train you, pay you, and you get to see the inner workings of election administration. Expect to work a full day on election day, and during the early vote period as well. To apply, you must be at least 16 years of age, and a resident of the county in which you are applying to work, and able to read, write, and understand English. You cannot be a candidate for public office, hold public office, or the close family member of a candidate or holder of public office.
