Last night, Senator Ed Markey overcame a well-funded challenge from the
establishment to win the Democratic primary in Massachusetts with over 55%
of the vote.

As Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said when she endorsed Ed
Markey, “when it comes to progressive leadership, it’s not your age that
counts, it’s the age of your ideas.”

And as the people of Massachusetts showed last night, our progressive
ideas are winning. Sen. Markey’s win demonstrates what is possible when we
mobilize a coalition of voters around big issues like the Green New Deal.

We need to harness the energy and continue to use this very same strategy
