When I was growing up, there were two options in my head: Follow in my
dad’s footsteps and become a doctor, or play basketball and maybe even
make it to the NBA.

But John, those
plans quickly fizzled out. I was cut from my college basketball team, and
nearly flunked out of organic chemistry… on the same day.

It wasn’t until someone knocked on my dorm room door and asked if I wanted
to run for student government, I began to seriously think about elected
office. And when I won? I saw exactly what dependable, commonsense
leadership could accomplish.

During my year as Student Association president, I was laser-focused on
safety. We added more outdoor lights, blue light security phones, and even
improved our shuttle service at night.

Seeing my work make a real difference in folks’ lives — it was an amazing
feeling, John. And
I’ve been doing the same ever since. Working hard to make sure folks can
be safe and feel safe in their communities, putting more money in
families’ pockets, bringing folks together, and protecting your
Constitutional freedoms from those who want to sabotage them.

Look, I know politics gets a bad rap — and a lot of the time, it’s
justified. 

But I saw it in college then, and I’m seeing it today as your Governor:
Good things happen when leaders are focused on delivering for others.

I’m damn proud of everything we’ve accomplished together,
John. But I’m not naive: The
far-right has piles of cash stashed away to boost a candidate who is
solely focused on appeasing Donald Trump — not the good people of
Pennsylvania. So today, I’m humbly asking: [ [link removed] ]Will you chip in a donation
