I grew up on our family farm in Fairview, and I have spent my life learning what it means to show up, keep going, and take responsibility when things are hard. After Hurricane Helene, that has felt even more true. Recovery is still underway, and folks across this district cannot afford chaos or indifference.
That is why I am running. I believe Western North Carolina deserves representation grounded in decency, service, and neighborliness, especially when the road ahead is unclear.
And just as plainly, I want to say this. I stand with survivors of sexual abuse and harassment. The allegations against Edwards are serious, and they deserve to be handled with care and integrity. My heart goes out to the young women who took these roles to serve our community.
This campaign has never been about any one person. It’s always been about Western North Carolina and our communities getting the leadership and representation we deserve. That has not changed.
