Chris was hooked on hard drugs and alcoholic from an early age. His goals were all about "smoking weed, popping pills, and coasting through life." Because his drug habit was getting more and more expensive, Chris turned to a life of crime.
He was headed down a path of destruction, and he soon realized he only had two options: prison or death.
Soon, Chris was jailed for possession of heroin. This was his second felony and this was also after several misdemeanors. Chris’ road to recovery started at this event.
A judge gave him a sweet deal: If he would attend and complete a 12-month recovery program known as No Longer Bound ([link removed]) , his record would be wiped clean.
Ultimately, Chris grew from a life of drugs, shame, and low self-esteem to someone who has graduated from college and is currently pursuing his masters to be a licensed therapist. And today, he's come full circle by serving as Assistant Program Director at No Longer Bound, helping other men escape a life of addiction.
