Hey Swing Left,
Your right to vote shouldn’t be “use-it-or-lose-it.” But that’s exactly what happened to voters in Georgia.
In 2017, the Georgia GOP passed a law that removes voters from the rolls if they haven’t cast a ballot in several years. As a result, more than 107,000 eligible voters were taken off the rolls in 2018. And that same year, Brian Kemp, the Republican official who oversaw that purge, wound up beating Stacey Abrams in the governor’s race by just 55,000 votes.
In diverse, growing states like Georgia, undermining people’s voting rights is the only way the GOP can win. But this year, we have a chance to flip the state house, giving Democrats the ability to block these terrible laws and pass common sense voting rights legislation.
We’re targeting ten flippable state legislative races where Democratic candidates are getting out-fundraised by their opponents. Donate today to split a donation between our ten candidates—every dollar will go directly to their campaigns.
