We did it, John,
We just emerged victorious from one of the toughest fights of the primary season. A couple months back, things weren’t looking good for Ed. He was up against a 100-year-old political dynasty—and all the money that came with it. He was down 16 points, pundits had written him off, and media outlets were throwing their weight behind the candidate they thought young people would see themselves in.

But we’ve always known it’s not about the age of the candidate—it’s about the age of their ideas. Ed shares our generation’s vision of a society that works for all of us. He is ready to throw down—like he’s always thrown down—for the future we deserve.

Can you contribute to help us keep up this momentum in the next 60 days leading up to the general election in November? We’ve got a lot of work to do to make sure that our story of victory doesn’t end here. [[link removed]]

Ed has our backs, so we’ve had his. The movement rallied behind Markey over the last month to make hundreds of thousands of calls to voters, flood social media, and drop banners to push back against the superficial power of Kennedy family money and fame to reelect our Green New Dealmaker.

That’s the power of movements. When we join together and put the work in, we can overwrite the antiquated rules of politics and reshape this country to what it should be. Look at what we’ve achieved so far, with Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, Marie Newman, and now Ed Markey.

This marks the end of the primary season, one of many stops left on the road to a Green New Deal. In the next 60 days, we’ve got an opportunity to show the world that the Green New Deal is THE winning platform in swing districts across the country.

If we’re going to put everything we’ve got into transforming Congress in November, we need your help. Your contribution will go toward the resources we need to support hubs on the ground making noise for Green New Deal champions in vital swing states. Can you chip in so we don’t have to skimp out? We already know what the pundits and the Democratic establishment will say to push against our vision. Nancy Pelosi and her crew love to claim that the Green New Deal is a pipe dream that only the most die hard will support. But we know that isn’t true—we know people across political affiliation are in full support of fighting climate change and securing jobs for anyone who wants one.

We have a chance to show just how prevalent this vision is by replacing fossil fuel-backed representatives with our candidates this Fall and making sure every one of our existing champions wins their re-election. These elections are often decided by just a few thousand votes—all of the people power our movement brings to the table is crucial.

We’ve seen how much impact we’ve had. We’ve doubled The Squad so far—we can’t stop there. There are dozens of amazing candidates ready to fight for a Green New Deal but we’re having to make hard choices about how many we can support and how hard we can fight to help them win.

Can you chip in to help us throw down for as many as we can? We want to make thousands more phone calls, knock on thousands more doors, drop more banners—your support would allow us to go all out to help Green New Champions across the country surge to victory. [[link removed]]

My heart is swelling with pride for everything we’ve accomplished and hope for everything more to come. It’s time to start asking what our country can do for us.

Together, we can demand the answer we deserve.
