John, here we go again.

*** Bloomberg: Elon Musk Gives $5 Million to Vivek Ramaswamy for Ohio Governor Bid ***

This news comes on the heels of the Wisconsin Election Commission finding probable cause that Elon Musk broke state election bribery laws in the state’s Supreme Court race last year. Not even a week later, Musk announced he was throwing millions into yet another election: the extremely tight race for Ohio governor.

Musk knows that MAGA Republicans like GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy aren’t winning over voters with their policies — so once again, he’s trying to buy our elections.

Can you make a gift today to help support pro-democracy candidates in Ohio and across the country and build a country where voters (not billionaires) have the most say in who gets elected? [[link removed]]

Musk isn’t the only uber-wealthy donor with eyes on the Buckeye State. Campaign finance reports show that MAGA billionaires have poured a whopping $37 million into the race.

They see what we see. The outcomes of these critical state-level races will play a huge role in whether the Republican Party will be allowed to continue to run roughshod over the will of the people — whether they can continue to manipulate maps to hold on to power and whether it gets easier or harder for people to cast ballots.

Let's be clear: They will outspend us. But when we come together to defend our democracy, we've shown that small-dollar donors chipping in what they can when they can are more than capable of offsetting the powerful interests putting their thumbs on the scale. (Remember that Wisconsin Supreme Court election? Despite Musk’s cash, his candidate lost by double digits.)

Ohio deserves a fair election. We cannot let billionaires overtake the democratic process. Make a donation and help the NDRC elect pro-democracy champions in these critical state-level elections. Together, let’s send a message that no one — not even the wealthiest man on the planet — has the right to buy our elections: [[link removed]]
