The Rapidly Shifting Sand Dunes of the Middle East
Wednesday, September 2nd | 12 pm EDT
Featuring Dr. Mordechai Kedar
Yesterday, something that we never thought possible happened. An El Al flight carrying diplomats from both the United States and Israel, on route to Abu Dhabi flew over Saudi Arabia. This comes on top of the groundbreaking announcement of August 13, 2020 of peaceful relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. On top of that the explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4th, puts the Iranian proxy, Hezbollah, acutely in the defendant’s chair on how much of Lebanon is being run by Hezbollah.
Is this the beginning of the flowering of a warm peace between Israel and the Gulf Arab nations, or something else?
Here to discuss this is Dr. Mordechai Kedar.
Professor Mordechai Kedar, is one of the world’s leading experts on Arab culture and on the Arab-Israeli conflict. Dr. Kedar is the Director of the study of the Middle East and Islam at the Begin Sadat Center for Strategic Studies. Dr. Kedar has spent more than 25 years in Israeli intelligence. He is also fearless and has, for years, appeared on Al Jazeera, arguing persuasively with Imams, defending Israel, and showing them the reality that Israel is here to stay. Dr. Kedar brings to them a reality that they might not otherwise hear from their regular media and government sources. In response to his candid wisdom, he has gotten many emails throughout the years, from the Arab world, saying things such as: “Dr. Kedar, You are right. We have a problem in the Arab world, and we use Israel to cover up our problems.”
