• Another major victory for election integrity! The U.S Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit upheldAlabama’s Photo Voter Identification Law, which was under constant attack by the Left. In a “friend of the court” brief your Judicial Watch and our friends at the Allied Education Foundation (AEF) successfully argued that these attacks were baseless.
  

  The plaintiffs’ complaint was that the Alabama law violated the 14^th and 15^th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution and placed undue burdens “on account of race or color” under Section 2 of the National Voting Rights Act. We pushed back hard on these arguments, and the Court of Appeals agreed with us that Voter ID laws are good policy for lawful voters. Judicial Watch will continue fighting for Voter ID law protection in the courts, and our lawsuits that led to states cleaning their voter rolls between elections is especially meaningful these days.
