There are over 6,000,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States -- and over 180,000 dead.
But Trump doesn’t care about the ongoing public health crisis that’s killing thousands of Americans every day.
That’s why he illegally hosted a crowd of nearly 2,000 people on the White House lawn for the 70 minute compilation of lies he delivered at his RNC closing night speech. During this latest superspreader event held on federal property, he misleadingly claimed that “the United States has among the lowest case fatality rates of any major country in the world”-- in reality the U.S. has the 11th highest death rate in the world, and case numbers are still rising across the country.
But the 80% of Republicans who approve of Trump think this number is acceptable. And a senior White House official said that RNC guests didn’t need to wear masks or social distance because “everyone is going to catch this thing eventually” -- four attendees have already tested positive for the virus.
We’re tired of this administration’s blatant disregard for human life. We need 5,000 or more Democrats to tell us today, by midnight, where they stand concerning the preventable deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans -- so tell us:
