Even though I'm in Congress, I still run an auto-repair shop.

In a shop, you don’t get credit for arguing about a broken machine. You get credit for fixing it.

That practical, common-sense approach is exactly what I bring to Congress every day. But right now, Washington is stuck in gridlock while working families pay the price.

If we want to start getting things done, we have to flip the House. Here are five things we need to fix right away:

Lower costs for working families. Housing, child care, health care, and groceries are consuming too much of every paycheck.

Protect reproductive freedom. Washingtonians—not politicians in Washington, D.C.—should make their own private health-care decisions.

Fight for the right to repair. Farmers, mechanics, and consumers should be able to fix the equipment they own without being gouged by manufacturers.

Invest in local infrastructure and skilled trades. Southwest Washington needs strong timber and manufacturing jobs, apprenticeships, and career training.

Protect Southwest Washington’s voice. As one of America’s most competitive districts, keeping this seat held by a practical problem-solver prevents D.C. party bosses from dictating what happens in our community.

I do not believe in partisan football. I believe in fixing what is broken and delivering for the people who sent me to Congress.
