If you want to know who politicians in Washington actually work for, just look at what they do to our public lands.

Last week, the Trump administration finalized a disastrous rule to roll back a crucial part of the Endangered Species Act. For decades, the law prevented corporations from bulldozing and polluting the critical habitats where imperiled wildlife live.

They are systematically dismantling the protections that keep our wild places intact, all to boost the profits of their corporate donors.

And if you think this is just happening out West, look at what Pete Stauber is doing right here in northern Minnesota.

Stauber has been leading the exact same charge in Congress. He recently used an unprecedented, backdoor procedural trick to overturn the 20-year mining ban in the Superior National Forest so he could hand the keys to the Boundary Waters over to a Chilean mining conglomerate.

Because of Pete Stauber, a foreign corporation now has a green light to build a toxic sulfide-ore copper mine directly in the headwaters of the most visited wilderness area in the entire country.

The rollbacks of the Endangered Species Act and Pete Stauber selling out the Boundary Waters are two sides of the same coin.
